TR Dual Rey

Have you seen this video? This is one of my favorite stallions to watch perform! They are ALL just phenomenal – but TR definitely got his own style, don’t you think? Look half way through the video how TR folds up his front legs and just crawls…. way cool…..can you tell I’m getting excited to go to the NCHA Futurity?

Thanksgiving

I can’t believe it – I haven’t even taken a picture from Thanksgiving! I hope everybody had a nice day amongst family and friends. We certainly did! And of course too much to eat – AGAIN! The year seems to be winding down in record speed. I am not even able to keep up with the updates! Oh my! Soon I’ll be leaving for Texas, for the yearly NCHA Futurity and its horse auctions. How exciting. Patrick will later on drive out with truck and trailer to come and pick our new additions (if any) and me up – then we’ll make the drive home together – YAHOO. Don’t forget to watch the NCHA-Finals on TV on the 14th (I think) of December! It’s always entertaining; even for the none-horsey people

Widget got a new blanky

Hi there – yup, Widget got a new blanket… she now fits in the AMERICAN FLAG blanket… does look pretty corny, but she loves it… it keeps her nice and cozy and makes her feel like a big horse. Cause it sais 74 on it!!! I didn’t tell her that I got it cheap 10 years ago cause it was mislabeled ha-ha-ha. Anyhow, I need to post a picture….. there goes the flag running around out on the pasture….;-) oh… speaking of new…. Rosie LOVES the new e-cow my Mom made for me… I better not leave her unattended AGAIN otherwise I’d have to put in yet another order ….

even a Camel can do it….

Well,  if a Camel can do the lead changes, we definitely do not have any excuses left to miss them anymore on our Quarter Horses! Isn’t that clip pretty neat?  Now I am just waiting for the sliding stops and the spins!

The mighty Widget

Hi there again…. here I thought Widget and I were up for all the laughs… but we both pulled through and were showing those big horses how to nail the leadchanges in the center of the pen – HA! But seriously – I was glad that the sand in the arena wasn’t any deeper or Widget would have been sinking in knee high ;-)

Riding: Classical vs Western

I got this youtube link from Tristen (thanks) and thought it was fun to post. Cause no matter if you ride english or western – bottom line is that your horse got to be trained and broke to do it and you need to be a skilled rider to make them perform the way you want them to - so let’s get after it ;-) …. Daphne I expect you next year to do a Pas-de-deux with Debbie so we can post our own english/western video here!

Update-update-update

well, I guess you thought I’d never get around to it, huh. Well here it is, the latest updates…. I can’t believe how QUIET it has gotten on our Farm! Susanne aka Twinkletoes and Jenny flew out of Orlando yesterday, Friday evening. And now we are really wrapping up this years Community Clinic. It was fun, wasn’t it? I can’t get over how much people have pushed themselves and how much everyone has improved! CONGRATS TO EVERYONE!!! I’m sorry for the few people that had to miss a class here and there due to coughing/sneezing and running noses or other unforseen circumstances  …. and of course a big THANK YOU to Pat!
